THINGS TO DO

JMH Library Storytelling

Weekly storytelling in the children's section of the library, ideal for little ones who like books but still need the whole thing to feel low-pressure.

About

JMH Library Storytelling is one of the gentlest entries on the site for little ones. It is a weekly library session aimed at younger children, with Gibraltar Cultural Services describing it as ideal for ages 2 to 4.

The storytelling takes place in the library’s children’s section, with volunteer readers leading the sessions while children sit on bean bags and mats. That makes it feel calm and low-pressure, which is often exactly what you want at this age rather than a loud, highly structured class.

The appeal is simple: books, routine, and a soft introduction to group activities. It is a good fit for toddlers and preschoolers who love stories, and for parents who want something free and easy in town that still feels properly child-focused.
