THINGS TO DO
The Mindspace Project
A gentler educational programme built around local culture, curiosity, outings, and helping children connect with Gibraltar in a different way.
About
The Mindspace Project is built around children’s wellbeing, confidence, and emotional resilience rather than a traditional after-school class. Its own site describes the mission as empowering generations for lifelong mental wellbeing, which fits the programme mix they run from the Mindspace Hub and Cafe Mindspace.
For children, one of the clearest strands is `Fitness with a Difference`, which combines movement-based sessions with life skills like emotional regulation, growth mindset, resilience, and confidence building. The volunteer page shows these sessions running for both 4 to 7 year olds and 8 to 11 year olds, so it is clearly designed as an ongoing children’s programme rather than a one-off event.
The wider project also gives older teens ways to get involved through youth volunteering, trainee barista roles, and facilitator opportunities. So this one feels broader than a normal club: part wellbeing programme, part community hub, and part route into volunteering and confidence-building for older young people.
